THis is one of several books of quotations scattered around my sanctuary. As an aspiring writer, I enjoy the well expressed sentiment. They are inspirational reminders of life’s persistent toxicity, troubles, turmoils & fleeting triumphants.
Lately, I start my day here. Each morning, a quote is copied onto an index card to carry with me. Positive thoughts carry me through through the daily trials of self control. Another way of looking at these daily reflections is that they are reminder inoculations against toxicity.

we shift the way we see it
Toxicity can be addictively consuming. This causes & imposes scorn, pain,& suffering. Why live like that? Which is why I have resolved to distant my public self from the political discourse of ridicule, shame & blame. Much of it is beyond simply agreeing to disagree. The needs to be a level of respectful decorum that escapes some. Okay? At the same, be kind towards those who believe that scorn is useful.
