Feedspot has announced its listing of the Top 100 Human Resources and Talent Management bloggers. Much to my nondisappointment, I did not make the list. This is because there are some incredible bloggers out there speaking to and for our careers.
These blogs are ranked based on following criteria
1. Google reputation and Google search ranking
2. Influence and popularity on Facebook, twitter and other social media sites
3. Quality and consistency of posts.
4. Feedspot’s editorial team and expert review
What does it take to get on this list? Persistence, having an articulate voice, and have extensive & specialized knowledge. Well, that’s what I think anyways. There is at least one blogger on the list that accepted and completed the challenge of one blog a day for 365 days. At that point, this blogger was anonymous while finding his voice. And the voice was found and is now on the list.
It also takes time to practice. It also takes time to become knowledgeable. It also takes time to research a topic. Wisdom is created by applied & collected knowledge.
So, is this worth taking a swing at?
Time will tell.
